Fragments of inspiration: quick sketches captured, colour studies that may never leave the studio, reflections on materials, and videos that reveal the layered evolution of finished works. Some fully formed thoughts; others are questions I'm still wrestling with. You can view more aspects of my process journey on @e.wilde.artistprocess

My previous life as an architect taught me patience — understanding that meaningful work emerges through iteration, that plans will change when confronted with reality, that beautiful solutions often arise from constraints.
There are days when I work purely from instinct, allowing relationships to emerge without intellectual interference. Then come the days of stepping back, measuring, adjusting.
What I'm attempting in my current body of work is to create visual spaces that hold contradictions: precision and spontaneity, structure and fluidity, memory and imagination.

"My studio isn't just where I work; it's where I discover who I am when no one else is watching."
