GEDOKmuc Residency
SENSORY SPACE: SOUND, WORD, PAINTING - AS A DISCOVERY
GEDOKmuc Gastatelier Residency, Munich | April - May 2026
A collaborative exploration between Munich-based artist Monika Humm and E. Wilde for the GEDOKmuc Gastatelier.
In her paintings and spatial installations, Monika Humm illuminates the relationship between surface and space, between diversity and unity, between objectivity and abstraction, connecting urbanity with landscape structures.
E explores the parallels of art, life, death and transformation. Her multidimensional works poetically juxtapose and connect materials such as paint, textiles and objects with trace-finding, sound, space and nature.
Humm and Wilde share common ground in their working process as painters. During this residency, they are developing ideas together, exploring where painting, poetry, and sound intersect as one frequency. Conversations circle around lines, space, form, scale, the body, grids, poetry, and all the attributes that make up ground on the surface. With Monika in residency at Gedok studios and E working remotely from Fremantle, Australia, the project unfolds across distance and proximity, letting practices breathe into one another.
Final Presentation: 15-16 May 2026, 3-6pm
Location: Pineapple Tower, Arnulfstraße 195, Munich
